Thai Buffet Fundraiser a Great Success!

Rotarian Kayanee Chopra, owner of Royal Palm Restaurant, helped raise nearly $4,000 for Rabuor Village Project at a delicious Thai food buffet on May 6th. Over 200 diners attended the feast and enjoyed traditional food including pad Thai, green curry with prawns, chicken salad, fried rice, stir fried vegetables, coconut chicken soup, and sticky brown rice pudding for dessert. Funds raised will help support Rabuor Village Project with its many ongoing activities, such as running a nursery school for AIDS orphans and initiating new income-generating activities through micro-financing including bee-keeping, hybrid goat production and sunflower seed oil production.
