Team USA

Loyce Mbewa-On'gudi, Founder & President
Loyce is the inspiration behind RVP and continues to be a driving force behind the organization both in the US and in Kenya. Her vision and unique understanding of how best to assist people living in rural African communities comes from her experiences growing up in Kenya, combined with her education and experiences in the US. See Loyce's complete bio.
Susan Anstine, Program Director
Susan joined RVP as the Program Director in 2006. Due to the growing needs of the organization and Loyce's already hectic schedule, Susan assists in the day-to-day operations of RVP and oversees our large group of volunteers. She is a retired social worker who began her working career as a volunteer with the Canadian University Service Overseas in Ghana. When asked how she approaches problems, Susan is known to invoke an old African proverb: "when caught by the head, the rest of the snake is nothing but a rope."
Plus many enthusiastic US-based volunteers from Seattle and beyond!
